Siblings Win Home Market Lamb Titles | heraldry

ANGOLA – Sheep show judge Brennan North was extremely impressed with the best lambs on the market at Monday’s sheep show at the 4-H Steuben County Fair.

“They are very high quality animals,” North said of the two lambs, exhibited by sisters Harper and Harlee Henney. “He’s not the guy who usually goes to county fairs.”

The Grand Champion lamb was exhibited by Harper and the Reserve Grand Champion by Harlee.

The show wasn’t big this year, but that didn’t mean the exhibitors didn’t give it their all, even when a few lambs decided to give it a go, giving their exhibitors a bit of attitude.

Regarding the directing competition, North once again commented on the talents of the Henney sisters during the Champion Class of Champions.

“My ranking comes down to two participants showing the same thing, were probably taught the same way,” he said.

That duo was Harlee and Harper, with Harper coming out victorious in the field of four showmen.

The senior showman saw four contestants, three in intermediate and one junior showman, as well as the four contestants in champion of champions.
